How to Give Help
Did you know…
Did you know Tarrant County is one of the top 10 counties in the nation for food insecurity, and that the number of food insecure households in our service area outpaces the extraordinarily high county average? In 2017, we served 22,800 individuals, and that number continues to grow. But we simply cannot change the narrative about our community without your help. Want to eliminate hunger in east Fort Worth? here are ways to get involved:
We always need volunteers.
Come by Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm to help out in our clothing room or food pantry. We are always in need of additional hands to help unload food from the truck each day, as this is a big job–but many hands make much lighter work. Any time you’re available, especially in the mid-morning, we need you!
Donations
Due to the fire, we are needing items for our homeless community.
Items needed:
Water, Vienna sausages, individually wrapped crackers, chips, breakfast bars, and snacks that we can bag for sack lunches.
These items are not required to be refrigerated.
We need all manner of household items, but some things come in more consistently than others. Items that are always in greater demand than supply are as follows:
- Men’s Clothing
- Children’s Clothing
- Socks & Underwear
- Hygiene Items (New)
- Cleaning Products (New)
- Linens
- Sleeping Bags
- Diapers
- Disposable Underwear (the kind with tabs that fit more like briefs are greatly preferred to diaper-style)
- We welcome un-expired food items
